Seminar Series (Webinar) on “Equality Norms: An Analysis on Hindu Women’s inheritance Right in South Asia with Special Attention to Bangladesh”

The Research Committee of Department of Law and Human Rights, University of Asia Pacific organized a webinar titled “Equality Norms: An Analysis on Hindu Women’s inheritance Right in South Asia with Special Attention to Bangladesh.” on 20 June, 2022 on Google Classroom. Farzana Akther, Lecturer, Department of Law and Human Rights, University of Asia Pacific, presented her paper at that said occasion. The seminar series is one the regular events of Department of L&HR, UAP. On that event, usually the faculties of L&HR, UAP present their current research paper in the presence of an expert and the audience to get the fruitful feedback.

Dr. Shahnaz Huda, Professor, Department of Law, University of Dhaka was presented as a key discussant to that auspicious occasion. Additionally, all the faculties of the Department of L&HR were also presented on that occasion.

At first, Farzana Akther presented her paper. She discussed the in-depth of Equality Norms: An Analysis on Hindu Women’s inheritance Right in South Asia with Special Attention to Bangladesh. She compared the issue with other neighboring countries like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal. She also provided some probable solution in this regard. Then, Dr. Shahnaz Huda vehemently praised her presentation and provided some valuable comments on the paper.

Thereafter, there was a question answer session. Audience directly put question to the presenter and key discussant. They answer to the questions accordingly.

At the end of the session, anchor of the program Nazia Wahab, Assistant Professor thanked to all and concluded the program.
