Seminar Series (Webinar) on “Judicial Review and Separation of Power.”

 

The Research Committee of Department of Law and Human Rights, University of Asia Pacific organized a webinar titled “Judicial Review and Separation of Power.” on 28 October, 2021 on Zoom platform. Dr. Chowdhury Ishrak Ahmed Siddiky, Barrister-at-Law (Appellate Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh) Associate Professor and Head of Department, L&HR, UAP presented his paper in the session. The seminar series is one of the regular events of Department of L&HR, UAP. In the event, usually the faculties of L&HR, UAP present their working research paper in the presence of an expert and the audience to get the fruitful feedbacks.

Dr. Shahdeen Malik, Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh was present as a key discussant to the auspicious occasion. Furthermore, Qayum Reza Chowdhury, Mohammed Alauddin Member, Board of Trustees, UAP, Professor Dr. Ridwanul Hoque, Professor Dr Jamila A. Chowdhury enlightened the program with their valuable opinions. Among other participants, the faculties and interested students of the Department of L&HR were also present on that occasion.

The program was divided into three parts. At first, Dr. Chowdhury Ishrak Ahmed Siddiky discussed on different aspect of “Judicial Review and Separation of Power” with referring to the relevant case. Then, Dr. Shahdeen Malik, Dr. Ridwanul Hoque, Qayum Reza Chowdhury, Mohammed Alauddin provided their valuable comments on the paper. Thereafter, there was a question answer session. Audience directly put question to the presenter and key discussants. They answer to the question accordingly.

Finally, Dr. Chowdhury Ishrak Ahmed Siddiky, Barrister-at-Law, Associate Professor and Head of Department, Department of Law & Human Rights also provided his valuable comments on the paper and thanked all the participants. At the end of the session, anchor of the program Nazia Wahab, Assistant Professor thanked to all and concluded the program.
