Intra-Department Mock Trial, Fall 2025

The UAP Moot Court Club of the Department of Law and Human Rights, University of Asia Pacific (UAP), successfully organised the Intra-Department Mock Trial, Fall 2025, on 11, 15 and 16 May 2026. The two-day event brought together enthusiastic law students from different semesters. It provided them with a valuable platform to demonstrate their legal knowledge, advocacy skills, courtroom etiquette, and critical thinking abilities. Mock trial competitions simulate real courtroom proceedings, enabling students to gain practical exposure to legal practice and strengthen their understanding of litigation and trial advocacy. Such events are a long-standing part of legal training and mooting culture at UAP.

The competition witnessed active participation from students across various semesters, which engaged in rigorous preparation and presented compelling arguments before the adjudicating panels. Throughout the preliminary and knockout rounds, participants displayed remarkable dedication, teamwork, and professionalism. The judges highly appreciated the quality of legal reasoning, advocacy techniques, and courtroom conduct demonstrated by the competing teams.

After two days of intense and closely contested proceedings, the 1st Semester emerged as the Champion of the Intra-Department Mock Trial, Fall 2026, showcasing exceptional advocacy and legal analysis skills. The 5th Semester secured the position of Runner-Up after an impressive performance throughout the competition. Meanwhile, the 3rd Semester achieved the Third Position, demonstrating commendable legal acumen and courtroom presentation.

The event concluded with a prize-giving and closing ceremony where the winning teams were recognized for their outstanding achievements. The competition not only fostered healthy academic competition but also enhanced participants’ practical legal skills, confidence, and interest in advocacy.

Inter-Semester Debate Competition, Fall 2025

The Inter Semester Debate Competition – Fall 2025, organized by UAP Law Orator, was successfully conducted with active participation from LLB and LLM students of different semesters. The event aimed to encourage critical thinking, public speaking, logical reasoning, and intellectual engagement among students through a competitive yet respectful debating environment.

The competition featured several rounds where participants debated on contemporary social, legal, political, geopolitical and cyber related issues. 16 teams from different semesters participated in the preliminary rounds. Debaters demonstrated strong argumentative skills, confidence, teamwork, and effective rebuttal techniques throughout the tournament. The motions encouraged participants to analyze issues from multiple perspectives and present their opinions in a structured manner.

The event began with an opening session where participants, adjudicators, and guests were welcomed, followed by an introduction to the debate motion and brief of rules. The adjudication panel carefully evaluated the teams based on content, delivery, logic, and overall presentation. After highly competitive preliminary rounds, the best teams advanced to the final round and delivered outstanding performances.

The competition concluded with a closing and prize-giving ceremony where winners, finalists, and best speakers were recognized. Overall, the event successfully created a platform for intellectual growth, student interaction, and the promotion of debating culture within the university community.

Ramadan Food Distribution Program

The UAP Law & Social Welfare Club successfully organized a Ramadan Food Distribution Program on March 8, 2026, with the objective of supporting underprivileged and vulnerable individuals during the holy month of Ramadan. This humanitarian initiative aimed to spread kindness, empathy, and social responsibility among students while addressing the immediate needs of disadvantaged individuals.

The program was conducted in different roadside areas where food was distributed among poor, helpless, and fasting individuals. The distributed food packages included essential items suitable for Eid bazar, ensuring that the recipients could break their fast with dignity and comfort.

The event was actively carried out by dedicated student volunteers of the club, who worked collaboratively with sincerity and compassion. The initiative not only reflected the true spirit of Ramadan generosity, charity, and humanity but also strengthened the sense of social awareness among participants.

Through this program, the club demonstrated its commitment to community service and social welfare. It also created an opportunity for students to engage directly with societal issues and contribute positively to the lives of those in need.

Overall, the Ramadan Food Distribution Program was a meaningful and impactful initiative that highlighted the importance of unity, compassion, and service to humanity.
